Casey Gubbels Redshirt Freshman 141 pounds

Personal-Casey was born Oct. 2, 1987, in Randolph, Neb. The son of Bill and Joan Gubbels, Casey has two brothers, Kyle (23) and Jerad (16). Kyle was a two-year letterwinner in wrestling at Nebraska. Casey is a nutritional science and dietetics major.

What was your most favorite Christmas present? a four-wheeler when I was 10, I was shocked.

Would you rather be water skiing, hunting or bummin’ it on the beach? snow boarding

What do you consider yourself “good” at? teaching my little brother the “ways of the world”

What’s your favorite memory of your grandparents? Grandpa Gubbels took me pheasant hunting

What’s your idea of “dressing up”? and if you did, where would you be going? dress shoes, shirt, tie and a sweet Husker sweater vest like Coach Manning’s. A wrestling banquet.

When was the last time you put on a suit and tie? June 30, 2007, for brother Kyle’s wedding.
